Rychlá odpověď: After heavy use, check the filter, pH and sanitiser first. Foam is often caused by cosmetics, detergent residues, body oils and overloaded water.
A hot tub has a small volume of warm water, so one busy evening can change the water faster than many owners expect. Foam after guests is common, but persistent foam means the water needs attention.
Why foam appears after guests
Foam is usually a symptom of water load, not a single isolated problem. Body oils, lotions, hair products and detergent from swimwear all build up quickly.
- cosmetics and sunscreen
- laundry detergent in swimwear
- body oils and sweat
- dirty or tired filters
- low or unstable sanitiser levels
What to do first
Remove and rinse the filter, test the water, correct pH and sanitiser, then run filtration. Foam remover can reduce visible foam, but it should not replace water care.
- rinse the filter cartridge
- test pH and sanitiser
- shock or dose according to the product label
- replace part of the water if the tub was heavily used
- ask bathers to shower before entering
When to drain and refill
If foam returns quickly, the water smells unpleasant or the surface feels sticky, a drain and refill may be the cleanest solution.
